Pre-need Medical Directive Planning
For individuals, having a power of attorney and a medical power of attorney are often far more important than having a will. The simple form "living will" prescribed by the Code of Virginia, which is the form most often disseminated by hospitals and other health care providers, is inadequate for most people, and serves to protect the interests of health care providers more than the interests of the patient.
